شهر رمضان الذي أنزل فيه القران

جاء رمضان و جاءت الفرص مهرولة،

Ùˆ مع بداية رمضان تبدأ الزحمة في الشوارع Ùˆ العجلة Ùˆ يبدأ الناس باستخدام جملة ” اللهم إن صائم ” في كل لحظة Ùˆ محظر. Ùˆ لا أتكلم عن الجملة او استخدامها الصحيح، بل اتكلم عن طباع الناس الحادة Ùˆ النفوس التي تضيق في هذا الشهر الكريم، وهو مالا يتوقع منا كمسلمين أن نفعل في هذا الشهر.

جاء رمضان، و لا أعرف ان كنت اذكر نفسي او من يقرأ باستغلال هذه الفرص، و احب ان اضع بعض النقاط لتنفيذها :

  • تفطير صائم،  لديك الفرصة في المشاركة في تفطير في المساجد الكبيرة Ùˆ المشاركة أو التبرع ببعض الريالات.
  • مراجعة Ùˆ حفظ بعض الايات
  • قرأة القران كاملا.
  • صلاة التراويح.
  • المحافظة على السنن، وهي فرصة للتعود على بعض السنن Ùˆ المحافظة عليها ( Ùˆ أولها السنن الرواتب Ùˆ الوتر).
جاء رمضان ØŒ Ùˆ قد عزمت النية كما كان في السنة الماضية ØŒ ان لا أجعله شهر أكل Ùˆ شرب ØŒ بل هو شهر الصوم Ùˆ الطاعة ØŒ ( يعني المفروض يخف وزني )،  Ùˆ كما هو معروف ان التخفيف من الأكل يعين على الطاعة ،  فتصور نفسك ( عبيت التانكي فطور مقليات Ùˆ شوربات ) ثم حضرت صلاة العشاء Ùˆ صلاة التراويح بعدها،  ( لا تعليق غير ان احد المصلين في يوم من الايام قال – هالامام يطول في السجود لين كادت اللقمة تطلع من بلعومي – بلاك من كثر ما حشوت بطنك ).
جاء رمضان، و حجزت موقعا باسم dev4islam.com    :)   و في وقت لاحق افصل في الفكرة.

@ Khobar this weekend

Since we are going to have a long weekend in STC this weekend (saturday is our national day).

So I’m going to have it in Khobar inshallah with my uncles and inashallah I wiill have a chance to see the gulf :)

PodCasts

As I have iPod, I start looking for some nice good podcast , and I stopped at some podcasts that are realy great.

First , iTunes has great number of podcasts, and podcast alley , it’s nice to have your time to browse them and try some of the podcasts, not all of them are good. but believe me alot are good.

After I tried some podcast, I susgest to listen to those podcast: (copy the url and paste it in your iTune to get the podcast directly)

if you dont’ want to use iTune , there are some other sotfwares that can be used , I feel iTune “since I have iPod”, is very good and good enough.

My brand new Ipod Video(30GB)

I just bought Ipod last week, it’s a new experience to me, and I realy like it.

Now I can track all of my speech (محاضرات ) listens easier and can listen to it any time. In fact, I’m spending around 10 hours weekly on the road (going to work, going home ). so I have enough time to listen to something good.

It was my first time I used some internet podcasts websites to get some speech ( I like www.podcastalley.com they have good list of podcasts, I like manager-tools)

Since I put my Ipod in my car most of the time, I decided to buy Road Trip from Griffin Technology. I got another benefit because of Ipod Video, Now if my duaghter with my in my car I can make her busy watching her favorite cartoon clips :) .

مكتب موقع رسالة الإسلام تحت الإنشاء

و اخيرا بدأ  مكتب رسالة الاسلام يظهر بالشكل المبدأي له، و بما اني قضيت اليوم مع احد الاخوة معظم اليوم في تسليك الشبكة و ربطها الموزع الرئيسي (main switch) و الدنيا ملخبطة و الحوسة حوسة ، كرتون من هنا ، كمبيوترات من هنا ، وهلم جرا.
و الحين جاء دور اللي يبي يشارك في العمل ( من اللي عنده همة ).

Sytem Migration Preparation

During those days we are working on migrating from older version of our system in SAUDI NET to newer version , which promises for better performance and rich features.

Talking about migration, and the process for any migration, the techniques , steps , gap analysis . I don’t believe in all of those steps.

To do any system migration I think you need the following:

  • What was annoying you in the older system, is it possible to fix it before you come to the new system, and choose what to start working on fixing it on the newer system.
  • What data should be migrated and what shouldn’t be. (Old data of many years in the past and no body interested in it).
  • Involve only who has experience, It happened that we give some of the tasks in one of our migrations to a newly hired employee and we discovered accidental that some of the information was collected in wrong format.( Imagin if you relied on this infromation).
  • Log every trials of migration and what was missed. text file is enough for that.(usually you should have some trials before the real one)
  • Build a long check list (in detail) of what should be done at the last stage ( cut-over ).
  • Think about Rollback , the possiblities of rolling back in any migration is the first option for any issue comes on the road after the cut over or any panic.

Other things like GAP analysis , time estimation , Project management is something I don’t believe in it , and I feel it like waste of time.
